Replacing an Outdoor Faucet

If you have a sweated (soldered) on, outdoor faucet that needs replacing. You will need the following tools.

• Gloves
• A propane torch
• Pipe cutter
• Pliers
• Lead Free solder
• Flux
• Clean rags
• Sandpaper or pipe cleaning brushes

One of the keys to a good solder joint is to be sure the pipes are very clean and you add flux to the inside of the joint. Heat the side of the joint you want the solder to flow to.
